Here at Lookout we want to dig deeper into our faith in the context of community. We have various classes that meet throughout the year that are taught by our staff or members of our community. Here is what we have coming up next:
Mid-Week Classes
SONSHIP CLASS
When: Sunday, 5:00-7:00 p.m. (every 2nd and 4th Sunday) starting September 11
OR Wednesday, 6:30-8:30 p.m. (every 2nd & 4th Wednesday) starting September 14
Who: Contact Bill Senyard if interested at pastorbill1@comcast.net or 720-746-4125
What: The goal? To experience more of the dynamic Christian life that Jesus paid so dearly for 2000 years ago. Things creep into each of our hearts that rob us of joy, of power, of belief, of courage, of fruit. We begin to act less like sons and daughters of God and more like saved orphans. The Sonship course is 16 shots of the powerful gospel that hopefully will shake things up in our hearts.
WOMEN’S COMMUNITY BIBLE STUDY
When: Thursdays 9:15-11:15a, starting September 8th
Where: LMCC Sanctuary
Who: Contact Karen Sells at 303-670-8959.
What: Gospel of John. Have you always wanted to know what the Bible Says? Did you read the Bible as a child but haven’t in recent years and don’t know where to begin? Are you finding it hard to set aside time to read the Bible? If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, then we want to invite you to come and study at CBS.
WOMEN’S BETH MOORE BIBLE STUDY
When: Thursdays 9:30-11:30 a.m., starting September 8th
Where: LMCC
Who: Contact Kim Jones, 303-948-6264
What: Women’s Thursday Morning Bible Study: ‘Faithful, Abundant, and True,’ by Beth Moore, Kay Arthur, Priscilla Shirer. Please contact Kim in advance to get your book ordered.
SUNDAY CLASSES
SURVEY OF 1 JOHN – LOVE: What does it really mean?
When: Sundays, 9:30 – 10:15 a.m. Oct. 2 – Nov. 20
Where: LMCC–Education House #1
Who: Contact Brooks Buckwalter, 303-523-0705
What: Is it a quick roll in the sack with someone we barely know, as TV and movies often portray it? Is it a sappy emotion that brings tears to our eyes as the camera pans put out and the music crescendos? Come and join us as we delve into the biblical idea of love, in the book where it is mentioned more often than any other. You may be surprised as we dig a little deeper into the idea of LOVE. Facilitated by Adam Long and Brooks Buckwalter.
