Welcome
to Lookout Mountain Community Church. We hope this site
will help you get acquainted with who we are. Actually,
we are only beginning to see that ourselves. LMCC is a part
of the Body of Christ and the Bride of Christ.
She is a mystery beyond our ability to comprehend. We hope
that isn't an excuse for shoddy programming, but an open
confession that she can't be reduced to a web site. You
must get to know her. Therefore, our hope is that this information
would serve as a means of introduction. All churches are
a sloppy wonderful mystery, like ours. We are not to be
in competition, but in “complement” with the
other parts of our Lord's great Church. So hopefully this
information will help you understand God's call on all churches
and introduce you to the unique fellowship that comprises
LMCC.
Included in this site is our philosophical statement: Real
Church in the Unreal World. This is our best shot so
far at summing up in a few short sentences what we feel
called to be and do.
I hope you come to love this sloppy wonderful mystery we
call LMCC. Jesus does. That's not bragging. That's believing
His mercy.
