The sermon
is an act of corporate worship. It’s not simply a lesson
or helpful suggestions to get you through the week. It is
the proclamation of the Good News of our Lord Jesus Christ.
His cross is the lens through which we are to see all reality,
and in all reality we are to see Him. The goal of every sermon
preached at LMCC is to glorify our Lord, such that we would
love Him more at the end of the sermon than at the beginning.
Sermon transcripts are available at the Information Center
in the entryway, and tapes are available in the LMCC Book
Store.
Welcome to the Gospel preached at LMCC
We believe
that our call in worship is not to fill you with "lofty
words of wisdom," that is, teach you all kinds of "new
stuff" you never learned before. We do hope you learn,
but our calling is to preach "Jesus Christ and Him
crucified" (I Corinthians 1:1-2).
We hope that after each sermon you think,
"Wow! Jesus is greater than I ever imagined."
We believe the Bible is God's written
Authority in our lives, and so each sermon is based on Scripture.
Most sermons are part of a
series from Scripture. If you are a part of LMCC and have
to miss worship from time to time, we hope you use this
web-site to stay current in our series. No matter who
you are we invite you to use these sermons for the cause
of Christ's Kingdom, but please don't use them for profit
without permission.
All of these sermons are on cassette tape and CD's, and
many that have not yet been transcribed are on tape as well.
Please contact us via email: jcross@lomcc.org,
or telephone: 303-526-9287 to receive a catalog and/or
to order tapes and CD's.
As you read these sermons,
may you worship. Each one was part of a worship service.
Worship is saying, "Wow, Jesus, You are really great!"
