Prayer and God’s Word serve
as food for the body of Christ. Fellowship, on the other hand, is
its lifeblood. Without godly relationships, we cannot be the people
God calls us to be. But when we commune with each other, in some
mysterious way we commune with Christ—and we become Christ-like.
SMALL GROUPS
If fellowship is the blood that circulates
through the body of Christ, then the small group is the blood vessel.
We ask that everyone who wants to be a part of Christ’s body
at LMCC participate in a small group. What are
Small Groups?
LMCC Small Groups consists of six to twelve people who meet regularly
for grace (sharing our lives through prayer), growth (committing
to some kind of biblical study), and goofing off (having fun). What do
they look like?
Every small group is different. While some groups focus more on
relationship-building (grace), others may focus on Bible study (growth)
or cooking—and eating—a gourmet meal (goofing off).
The variations are limitless!
What do they do?
Apart from the benefit of being connected to one another, Small
Groups also mobilize our people for works of service. They can serve
as a team of greeters, host area LMCC events, even engage in neighborhood
outreaches. Every LMCC Small Group participates in at least one
outreach every year.
If you have an
idea for a new small group or if you would like to get connected
with an already existing one, contact Fran Eckhardt at feckhardt@lomcc.org.
