Real Youth Ministry in the Unreal World. Our mission is to “lead students toward an authentic and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.” This happens as parents, volunteer leaders, and paid staff team up to provide a relational ministry that helps youth experience a real faith for real life that they can call their own.

Together, we are committed to prayerfully and intentionally loving every student and providing a variety of programs and activities to meet a variety of needs. Most activities will take place in the Youth Basement, (“IHOY”, “Intenational House of Youth”).

We strongly suggest that all junior and senior high students attend one main
worship service each week with their families.

After doing that, consider the following:

Sundays: 10:45-12:15

Join other students in the Youth Basement for a time to connect and worship followed by separate Junior and Senior High discussion and teaching. This accepting, fun setting provides a great opportunity to introduce friends to our group and our God in an authentic and relevant way. Doors open at 10:15 AM – and yes, there will be donuts!

Wednesday Night Life: 7-8:30

First Wednesday Night of the month: Youth Living Stones Service

We will join the rest of the church for worship and then go downstairs for a time of sharing and prayer.

Second, fourth, and fifth Wednesday of the month: D-Groups 7-8:30

“D” stands for “discipleship”. Disciples are people who follow and learn. D-Groups are for Junior and Senior High students who want to follow Jesus, and grow deeper in their relationship with God and others. These gender and age-specific small groups focus on worship, Bible study, discussion, prayer, and building open, trusting relationships.

Third Wednesday of the month: Special Event Night

Each month we want to take a chance to play together, so we’ve devoted one Wednesday a month to do just that. Junior and Senior High activities are held separately. Pay attention to announcements for details, or call us.

Saturday Hang-time 5:30-7 p.m.

A casual gathering of Junior High students who discuss the Bible, play, and join the adult worship service for communion.

Confirmation Class

This class is for 8th, 9th, and 10th grade students who want to gain a firmer understanding of their faith. This is not designed to be a stopping point for their faith, but rather a stepping stone to go deeper.

Trips and Activities

Keep your eyes open for the Junior and Senior High calendars so you’ll know about our special events:

  • Camps and retreats
  • Service projects
  • Family activities
  • Mission trips
  • Day adventures (bowling, laser tag, movies…)

Parents

You are a vital part of what we do as a youth group. We want to keep up with you and keep you informed of what is going on in the youth group. In order to do that, we host a quarterly parent potluck lunch and a monthly parent prayer meeting. The lunches take place on the first Sunday of March, June, September, and December following the 10:45 service. Monthly parent prayer happens on the first Tuesday of the month from 8-9 AM in the Lookout Room.
