Toward this end, we encourage everyone who considers LMCC their
church home to enroll in our core classes. Core classes communicate
the core theology and DNA of Lookout Mountain Community Church.
The two core classes currently offered include:
- What is LMCC’s strategy for worship,
community, service ministries, and evangelism and missions?
- How can I get more involved at church?
- As a part of the Evangelical Presbyterian
Church, what does this church believe and how are church
decisions made?
- How can I become a member?
- How do I grow as a follower of Jesus who
considers Lookout their church home?
Each week different members of the pastoral
staff share their stories, their vision for their particular
area of ministry, and how you can play a part in it. Although
you don’t have to become a member if you enroll in this
class, this is the class that leads to membership.
This class is offered four times a year and
lasts five weeks at a time. Childcare is provided. Taught
by Mike Klassen, Pastor of Congregational Life.
What
We Believe
Did you know that you are a theologian? Whether you realize
it or not, everyone is. And every day you live in such
a way that you reveal your theology. Theology, in its simplest
definition, is the way you think about life—about God
and His creation.
The purpose of this class is to provide a framework that helps
you think about God, His world, yourself, and the relationship
between them. In the process, you will develop a theology that
is biblical and one that you can call your own. Taught by
Aram Haroutunian, Pastor of Congregational Care.
